Burnett, Frances Hodgson
Frances Eliza Hodgson Burnett ur. 24 listopada 1849 w Manchesterze, zm. 29 października 1924 w Plandome, Nowy Jork – brytyjska powieściopisarka, autorka sztuk teatralnych. Zadebiutowała opowiadaniem opublikowanym w 1865. Pierwszą powieść Panna Lowrie, opisującą życie górników opublikowała w 1877. Jej powieści i dramaty poruszały problematykę społeczną. Burnett napisała 39 powieści, głównie dla dzieci, a także wspomnienia z młodości pt. Leśna boginka 1893.
