Urodził się w 1979 roku w Sztokholmie. Tam dorastał, tam się wychowywał, tam także mieszka i pisze. W XV wieku jeden z jego przodków zamordował Engelbrekta, na początku XVI wieku inny członek jego rodziny utracił stolicę Szwecji na rzecz Chrystiana Tyrana, a na początku XIX wieku kolejny przodek z rodu Natt och Dag musiał uciekać z kraju, gdy zażądał abdykacji Jeana Baptiste’a Bernadotte, za co został skazany na śmierć.
