Peter Berresford Ellis ur. 10 marca 1943 r. Jest brytyjskim historykiem, biografem literackim i pisarzem, który opublikował do tej pory ponad 98 książek pod własnym nazwiskiem lub pod pseudonimami Peter Tremayne i Peter MacAlan. Opublikował także 100 opowiadań. Jego prace ukazały się w 25 językach.
