Nelle Harper Lee ur. 28 kwietnia 1926 w Monroeville w Alabamie, zm. 19 lutego 2016 tamże – amerykańska pisarka i publicystka, znana głównie jako autorka uhonorowanej Nagrodą Pulitzera powieści Zabić drozda 1960, sfilmowanej w 1962. Jej druga powieść pt.: Idź, postaw wartownika ukazała się dopiero po 55 latach od debiutu była to kontynuacja Zabić drozda.
