Graham, Winston
Winston Mawdsley Graham OBE ur. 30 czerwca 1908, zm. 10 lipca 2003 – brytyjski pisarz, autor powieści historycznych, m.in. serii Poldark. Laureat Orderu Imperium Brytyjskiego. Urodzony w Manchesterze, w wieku 17 lat przeprowadził się do Kornwalii. Pierwszą powieść, House with the Stained Glass Windows, opublikował w roku 1934. W roku 1945 wyszła pierwsza jego książka z serii Poldark. Bohater, Ross Poldark wraca po wojnach w Ameryce do Kornwalii, gdzie usiłuje ratować podupadły biznes ojca. W sumie autor napisał 12 tomów tej sagi. W latach 70. BBC nakręciła na jej podstawie serial. [>>]
